It will foster a feeling of friendship, if your customers can connect with you on a personal level. The action of following a customer takes only a second, and it makes your customers feel greatly appreciated.

You can utilize social media sites as an avenue for both market research for new product launches and to get customer feedback on your existing offerings. Most people who use social media enjoy the opportunity to share their favorite products, opinions and ideas with others. These people are a great source of free information about what demand exists for a particular product.

People should feel welcome to post comments in response to your blog entries. This is especially important if you don't feel like giving out any direct contact information, such as your private e-mail address. Stay active with Facebook. Keep an eye out for questions or comments regarding your company. Engage in conversations and answer all questions that come your way. Your customers will feel more connected to your company if you respond promptly to their concerns.
