Tips For Using Facebook Marketing In Your Business

By Jon Jimmerson

Facebook marketing has a different appeal to varied audiences because everyone uses Facebook for different reasons. Whether maintaining relationships with old friends and family or playing games, people will notice the different pages offered on Facebook. Take advantage of this from a marketing sense and let Facebook benefit your business in a unique way.

Reach out to the friends of your subscribers by encouraging them to share your content. You could for instance ask subscribers to share your updates to receive a coupon code or focus on sharing entertaining content your subscribers will want to send to their friends. Keep track of which strategies work best.

Give Facebook ads a try. While your updates are certainly helpful, they can generally only get you so far. When you want reach, Facebook ads are better. They aren't pricey and they can help.

Do not hesitate to share links to other sites on Facebook. If you come across an article or a video your audience will be interested in, think about sharing it on Facebook. It is best to avoid sharing links to website you are in competition against or you could lose customers.

If you are going to share images with your fan base, make sure that you know exactly who or what is being portrayed. Posting a picture of one person and saying it is someone else is a very terrible faux pax. It may give people the idea that they are not individuals in your eyes.

If someone "likes" your page, give them something exclusive. A page with many likes will get more attention. Offer an incentive for new people to like your page, something that others are not getting. Whether it is an individual gift or the chance to go into a draw, it will create excitement. People are more likely to respond to your requests if you give them an incentive that is worth their time.

Connect your Twitter account to your Facebook page. This will help you streamline your posts to both social media accounts. When you post on Twitter, your post is also posted simultaneously on your Facebook page as well. This saves you the time and effort of signing onto both sites to make one post.

Change the tab order on your Facebook business page. The tabs will be in vertical order on the left of the page to start with. Under your list of tabs is the "Edit" option. Use this to customize the order of the tabs outside of the Info and Wall tabs. This can help you create a better hierarchy of which tabs should be near the top or the bottom in order to have some stand out more than others.

Do not build any apps on Facebook that require more than three or fours steps to get started. The more complicated something is, the less likely people are to want to deal with it. If someone can use one of your apps right away, they will be more likely to sign up.

Now instead of feeling helpless, you can feel like you have all the answers you need. You can take this advice and turn it into a plan which will be successful. You'll be able to find the gains you need thanks to opening your business up to the world of people who use Facebook.
