The WWE Network & Assessment From An Online Marketing Firm

By Rob Sutter

Following the launch of the WWE Network on February 24th a couple of months ago, there were expectations that came with it as well. You may be curious as to how many people have signed up since that time and how that can impact the money that World Wrestling Entertainment invested in the first place. If you would like further detail on the matter, I am of the opinion that an online marketing firm can offer further analysis. Where exactly does the WWE Network stand, you may wonder?

Los Angeles published a story regarding the WWE Network that stated it had reached around 667,287 subscribers or so. WWE made it a point to say that, in order for the company to break even with the WWE Network, it would have to reach a total of one million subscribers by the end of the year. A challenging goal, to say the least, but there are other factors that an online marketing firm can cover as well. For instance, the WWE Network has not yet been launched internationally, as firms the likes of fishbat can tell you.

One of the many factors that an online marketing firm can tell you about is that the WWE Network is featured on the weekly shows. During an episode of RAW, you may see one to two commercials, at the least, speaking about the WWE Network and all of its important features. It's not hard to see why this is done, as it is able to become exposed to WWE's most important audience. There is also the matter of older fans to address; more specifically the ones that do not watch wrestling as often.

Nostalgia is, in my view, an aspect that should not be overlooked by any means. The WWE Network has recognized this, which is why the streaming service in question allows the many subscribers access to an entire back catalog of older shows from WWE in addition to wrestling companies that are no longer active. Fans of wrestling promotions from the past will be able to benefit quite a bit from the WWE Network. What this shows is that the service is one of most extensive that can be imagined.

The question remains, though: can the WWE Network reach one million subscribers before the end of 2014? I think that once the service is launched in other areas of the world, the previously stated statistic will balloon, especially when given the fact that WWE is an international entity with fans all over the world. The WWE Network itself is capable and it boasts a tremendous amount of content for the asking price of $9.99 a month. Time will tell if the goal of one million is reached.
