The Best Way To Find Crowdfunding For Musicians

By Iva Cannon

It is indeed a gamble to produce an album, a song, a music video, or any project relating to music. You are not certain if you will be received by a great deal of music lovers. In addition, it is very difficult to produce financially and to get people you can trust to help you with the promotion and all that is needed to be done. It could reach to a point of frustrations and disappointments. Thus, there is a need to really prepare for this physically, psychologically, and mentally.

Making music is relatively easy especially if you have the talent in songwriting and instrument playing. But those are never enough. If you have the looks, there is a possibility, but still not a guarantee that you will make it big in the music industry. As an amateur, you will need funds or make an independent label if you have the guts and the bucks to do so. There is another option, though. Crowdfunding for musicians might just work.

However, crowdfunding can be really difficult as well because there is no guarantee that there will be enough fanbase that will help in funding your project. If you are able to gather enough crowd, they will be there to support you all the way. They will come rallying down for you just to help you complete your project.

One method is done through the internet, which is probably the best known crowdfunding venue as of the present time. There are already numerous crowdfunding websites reliable enough to get you a record. But this will depend on your performance. You will need to make a record initially so that people can listen to it through the website where you upload it.

Others need not to ask from other people or go to these sites in order to get the needed funding. Some of them simply post their videos on Facebook or YouTube just for fun. Some of them did not even expect they would get thousands or even millions of views. If you can get this much views, you have the chance to grab the attention of huge record labels and earn a deal for yourself.

If you are lucky enough, you will get to choose from different labels that simultaneously offer you to be their musician officially. As always, there will be people who will support you throughout your career but you will also need to prepare yourself from haters and bashers. This is the typical atmosphere of music making through social networking sites.

Walk of the Earth made it big when they made a Gotye cover. Five persons in one guitar was the main theme they showcased. It gained an incredible reception from millions of viewers. Christina Grimmie, on the other hand, made it to the finals of The Voice USA. One of the proposed reasons for her success was that she was already an online sensation.

It is never easy to please the crowd but most of those who made it big in the music industry just presented themselves in the most confident manner. They trust in their abilities so much. And they make it a point that they always have the time to respond to the comments and posts of their fans over social networking sites.

Garnering support from thousands or millions of fans and grabbing a record deal are ultimately not enough. There is a struggle of maintaining your status. There will always be better new ones that they can compare to you. So the challenge gets even tougher ones you are already in the industry.
