Performances should be done more often if it is for the sake of promoting movies, as "Carrie" went to show. It played on a human emotion and it did it with such effectiveness that I do not think that most movies would be able to replicate. That is exactly what those who are looking to advertise should do and that particular example more than knocked it out of the park.
